FMC Middleport Plant employees recently collected and donated nearly 1,000 pounds or a half-ton of food to help needy community residents during the spring holiday season through the Middleport Area Community Food Pantry.
FMC employees participated in the effort working alongside Local 1180 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and FMC plant management. The pantry serves more than 60 local families on a continuous basis.
“Our entire FMC Middleport team was very generous in collecting and contributing such a large volume of food for use by the Middleport Area Community Food Pantry,” said Dr. Roberta Kloda, FMC Middleport plant manager. “We are very fortunate and know how important it is to share with those in our community who are in need.”
