FMC Corporation’s Agricultural Sciences facility in Middleport has stepped up to help the medical community and local first responders in the fight against COVID-19 by donating a limited supply of respirators, safety glasses and Tyvek protective clothing suits.
Dr. Roberta Kloda, FMC Middleport plant manager, announced that the plant has donated six cases of N95 respirators to the Shelby Fire Department for distribution to local hospitals, 12 cases of safety glasses to the Niagara County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and Tyvek protective clothing suits to the Middleport Fire Department.
“We are all in this unprecedented effort together,” she said. “Safety is a core value of FMC’s operations and these needed items will help protect the local medical community and first responders as they treat and assist those who are affected by the coronavirus.”
