FMC Corporation, which operates the Agricultural Sciences plant in Middleport, has honored two Royalton-Hartland High School graduating seniors with separate $1,000 FMC Scholarships from the local plant.

The scholarships were awarded to Middleport resident Jamie Bower and Gasport resident Chloe Pilc based on their submission of a 300-word essay with the main focus on “picking an experience from your life and explaining how it has influenced your development.”

“As a company dedicated to our local community, FMC is proud to honor these two outstanding graduates with scholarships and extend our best wishes for continued academic success in their future studies,” said Dr. Roberta Kloda, FMC Middleport plant manager.

Jamie Bower (left in photo) served as a captain of the school’s softball team and plans to study nursing at D’Youville College in Buffalo. Chloe Pilc (right) is a member of the National Technical Honor Society and plans to study pre-med at Daemen College in Amherst.
